Vessel Features

Our fully equipt 11.5 metre (36ft) aluminium houseboats accomodate 6 with a double berth and four single berths. They are powered by a quiet and reliable 4 stroke outboard motor, are easy to drive and a licence is not required.

The almost full length upper deck has a second steering position, gas BBQ, an outdoor setting, and canopy. The main deck has walk around sides with fore and rear deck areas so there is plenty of room to relax outdoors or fish in comfort.

The galley has plenty of bench and cupboard space and is equipped with a benchtop gas cooker, 2 door 8.2cu ft gas refrigerator and freezer and an instant gas hot water system (which also services the bathroom). The bathroom has a normal house hold type flush toilet, full sized shower recess and a vanity unit. An automatic pump supplies fresh water to all outlets.

Inclusions

All bedding, linen, towels etc are provided as well as radio/CD player and fishfinder. The galley is equipt with crockery, cutlery, glassware, kitchen utensils and tea towels etc.

The Clarence River

Clarence Riverboats are located 30 minute upstream from Yamba. Our boats are licensed by NSW Waterways to sleep 8 on the Clarence River between the river mouth at Yamba/Iluka to well past Grafton with nearly 350km of waterways to use and 100 islands to visit. Great fishing, beautiful scenery, and friendly townships are just the beginning of what this river has to offer.

Hire Fee Payment

The FULL HIRE FEE is required prior to departure

Bookings

A deposit of $200 to be paid to confirm your booking within 7 days
On receipt of your deposit the booking will be confirmed, and a receipt and confirmation letter will be sent.
The balance of the hire fee is required 21 days prior to departure. If full payment is not received by this time, the vessel may be opened for re-letting.
For Christmas, New Year and Easter bookings, full payment is require 30 days prior to departure.

Payment options

Payment may be made by Cash, Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard or Bankcard), Postal Order. Cheques only by prior arrangement.

Cancellations

If thirty (30) days notice is given, deposit will be refunded. Thirty (30) to fourteen (14) days notice - Deposit is forfeited unless the boat is re-booked for full amount. Fourteen (14) or less days notice - Deposit is forfeited unless the boat is re-booked for full amount. A security Bond of $250/$300 (weekend and midweek) and $300/$400 (Weekly) is payable on the day of departure. The Bond will be refunded within 7 days of the completion of your hire , provided no damage or loss to the vessel and accessories has occured, or extra cleaning has been required, LESS fuel. We guarantee to do everything possible to have the houseboat ready for you on you agreed date. If a major mechanical problem occurs to prevent your departure all monies will be refunded. The full amount is not refundable as a consequence of bad weather, early return by you or any cause beyond our control Travel insurance is recommended as we cannot be held resposible for any other expenses you may incur. The hirer shall have no claim on any account against the management.

Maritime Regulations

The hirer must be 21 years of age or older
No pets, firearms or fireworks permitted on board by law.
The boats are not permitted to travel after sunset or before dawn.
The hirer will obey all instructions & navigational rules & stay within the waters as per Maritime NSW survey certificate.
If any malfunction of the boat, motor or accessories, damage or loss of equipment occurs, the hirer will notify management as soon as possible.
The hirer will return the boat in as good condition as when taken or pay for any damage, loss or extra cleaning.

What you need to bring

Sheets and pillow cases for single bunk beds (hire linen available for a small fee)
Personal toiletries and bath towells
Food and drinks
Swimmers, hat sunscreen, insect repellant
Fishing rod & gear

Note

If the hirer is found to be acting in a manner which could cause damage to the houseboat or other vessel, acting contrary to hire agreement or Waterways regulations, passeengers can be evicted from the houseboat with no refund of hire.
